Jeff
Was the tank you had actually aluminum - I still question if the one shown on ebay was actually aluminum

It was, in fact, aluminum (I've seen his bike up close. It's purdy)
And I'd forgotten it was made for carbed bikes.

So who still owns the rights, product drawings, etc... to roadracing?
If anyone was in close with them, or knows them, try to put them in touch with me, I would be interested in re-starting that biz state-side.

Cool. I scored a set of these but mine have a different 'bracket' - no top bolt mount but it does have an additional hole sticking up/out by the caliper. Not quite sure how it attaches beyond the axle pinch bolt.
I will try to grab some pics.

so i'm trying to figure out how one might properly affix these, as I see only one possible mount point, and the ones you pictured have the second mount point at the top by the caliper bolt.
And the example I found on the webs (apparently not so easy to find relevant search results with a company named "roadracing" y'know?)
Any thoughts? Can't figure out if those two tiny holes - one by the larger front axle fork bottom pinch bolt, the other by the indentation on the 40mm brake calipers - are to be used for anything or not. They don't appear to be used by previous owner and there's no place to affix to on the calipers in that region - either goldlines or GP's.

Looks to me like those you have and the set shown earlier are for a different type of brake setup. I think those that you showed would work on my brake system. Send them my way and I will put them on and let you know. I can even send you pictures once they are mounted.

I'd strangle a kitten for an aluminum tank, but I couldn't possibly shell out 2,300 dollars for one. And I drool over the rise that exposes the rear head...
I can't even find a good used steel tank for my bike; I have a WTB on this board and TOB... searched ebay, etc, but I haven't had a single reply.
I can imagine the work involved in building an aluminum tank, suitable for polishing, justifies the cost, though. Quality craftsmanship is rare and expensive.
There seems to be too few options for those who want a good tank-
Congratulations are in order for the OP; he stumbled upon a rare treasure.
