Messing with the bike just a few minutes ago and noticed that the right and left frame covers are different. The right one stick out a little farther than the left is is not straight on the bottom edge like the left one. It has an upward, slight 'cutout' to it. The edges are finished perfectly on each side so it hasn't been cut. That wouldn't explain the reason it's wider than the left. Both say DucatiMonster620 in the same font, size and location. Looks like it might be for exhaust clearance for a double exhaust set up on the right side a la an S4R. If that's it, was that original on an M620?

The right side has the bulge, because the charcoal canister is under there.

You can ditch the canister and replace the sidecover with a euro one. It won't have the bulge.

I suspect his canister is already gone.

You are correct... just checked and the canister is gone. Now, I need to find a Euro right side cover. Any suggestions?
