Can you recommend a moto-lawyer?

Last Saturday my Buddy Bill got taken out by some teenage chick texting while running a red light.  Kids are so busy these days.
Lucky, Bill's pretty slow so he hit her, not the other way around, and got ejected over the car and blew up his shoulder on impact.  He's a gear-whore so his hide is no worse than before. 
Finally, after a week+ he's home.  Royally make the beast with two backsed up, but home. Bike's totalled but bfd, they'll make more.

So thanks and if any of you lot can drop a name that would be helpful.  Keep your head on a swivel.

Sorry to hear that! Does he have insurance? His insurance co should go after the chick.

Failing that, there are a couple of bike attorneys on the board. I know they represented Brian/motobee.

Don't use Scotty Storey from BARF.  Baptistro (on BARF) used to work for a firm (he doesn't anymore) but I guess they've represented a number of people from BARF.  Apparently they're professional and obviously pretty quiet about it.  I've heard good things.  Don't know anyone from this board.

I'll repeat what I tell everyone.  No one needs a moto lawyer unless there is something special about their case that requires some moto knowledge.  What they need is a good personal injury lawyer.  

That said, and following up on 'belle's post, I've litigated against Bap's former firm, more than once.  Choulos, Choulos & Wyle.  They're solid attorneys and are "moto-lawyers."  And I often see George Choulos and Claude Wyle at Tambucks or at the AFM races.   I've had cases with each of them, and with one of their associates.  The other common recommendation for a "moto-lawyer" that I see on moto boards for moto attorneys is Chris Dolan @ cbdlaw.com.  He's a rider and a BARF sponsor (I think).  Dolan doesn't handle the cases unless and until they go to trial--his associates do--but I deal with their firm regularly and they're good lawyers.  Give a holler if you or your friend needs more info.  I can give him a name of a specific attorney at either of those firms if he wants.  I can think of a few other firms/lawyers that I'd recommend as well.

I don't know Scott Storey, but I'm always skeptical of someone who doesn't specialize in personal injury law (not that I do, but I've been doing enough lately to know who is good and who isn't).

P.S.  I assume this in the Bay Area?

I went with Scotty 4 years ago.
I don't know how good or bad he is, but at the end I got all my money back (expense, new bike) plus some extra cash without any bone broken in the crash.
I heard it's a pretty good ending...

Given the outcome, I would recommend the guy. Looks to me it was a decent job.
Can't tell for sure, I don't use accidents as source of income...

you can do a search on BARF, but he had a couple of scathing reviews in the last year.  They might not turn up if they're in the 'Sink.  There are some other things about him that I cannot divulge that make him less than attractive when it comes to picking a lawyer.  OP's buddy should interview a few and see who he likes though.  One chick's opinion is just that....
