So I coming home from SFO around 10PM,  doing the normal 280 N speed in traffic. Thinking to myself, "I haven't gotten a moving violation for a long damn time...I wonder if I could get my insurance to go down."
   -   -  At that spectacularly exact same moment -   -
Red lights in my rear-view mirror slide over behind me and snuggle up.

I pull over down a weird little side street by his direction over the loud speaker. "turn here, turn there," ending up in front of tacos tires and wedding cakes place.

With the usual blinding lights in my face, he asks if I'd been drinking.
I said, not that much.  He has me follow his finger while waving his flashlight around.

He tells me I was doing 80.
I said, ya, everyone is doing 80.
He said I was weaving in my lane, I said I was bored.
He said, "ok, have a good night," and left. The lights of his cruiser went off in a weird direction.

I think it was a UFO.
Have I just been "probed?"

Now I can't sleep.

Count your blessings that you didn't get a ticket.  When I get a ticket, I remind myself of the many times that I should have, but didn't.  Sometimes bad timing catches up with you.

I just count on getting a few tickets once in a while.  It's the cost of, well, venturing out of the house.  You didn't get one.  Don't ask why, just say thank you to God, Allah, the CHP, Zog, Ewoks...whatever higher power you feel it is that hasn't given you an anal reaming this day.
