"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

With the usual blinding lights in my face, he asks if I'd been drinking.
I said, not that much. He has me follow his finger while waving his flashlight around.
He tells me I was doing 80.
I said, ya, everyone is doing 80.
He said I was weaving in my lane, I said I was bored.
He said, "ok, have a good night," and left. The lights of his cruiser went off in a weird direction.
He was looking for a deuce (drunk driver). Checked you for HGN, saw none, and let you go so he could spend his time finding a drunk to take to jail.

I made about 70 traffic stops last month. Wrote maybe 10 cites. Found 7 drunks. The life of a graveyard shift cop.

None of each. I like Hot Tamales and water. Maybe some Del Taco on the odd night.

Oddly I was thinking the same thing (no tickets in ages) when I did a rolling stop in my neighborhood.
Right in front of a cop
I made eye contact as soon as I noticed him there (duh)
He gave me the stink eye, I gave him the "sorry" look and he didn't bother to come after me.

Your mistake lies in coming from work at SFO.

I was actually coming home from vacation via SF0 for once. After about 130,000 flight miles this year, once was for fun.
Sheesh what a freaking year.
You suggesting another airport is better?
