you are right nobody should be buying multistradas.

then again who know. maybe this new diavel will turn out to be a best seller for ducati.  only time will tell.

well for me, the mTS would be an option only because of the features, not the look. in fact, creating a new look for the nose would be my priority if i owned one.

and the Diavel, the tail and front are the two big issues for me on that design. the huge side intakes, the wierd looking light shroud and the cut tail are all poor design elements.
I understand their sprinter look, but it's ITALIAN.. since when is an italian design based on a man's body?!

I guess you would need to ask the Romans for that answer.

By that logic, no one would be buying expensive Multistradas, and then are, so. *shrug*
BMW sales have been solid through this recession.  So there were sales to steal.  Power cruiser sales have not been good.  There are no sales to steal.  So if the Diavel does well it will have to create new sales from people that think it is just so awesome they have to have it.

I don't mind the tail, but that bizarre-looking light shroud has got to go.

BMW sales were up 4% worldwide in July, and Ducati sales were up 7% in July in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.  I'm not sure how they faired during the rest of the year, but the European brands have been generally performing better than the Japanese brands.  In 2009, when I think pretty much everyone was down, they weren't down nearly as much.
