because there's only a handful of people in america (largest motorcycle market) that'll buy one (at the price it'd end up costing).
iirc, the supermono was $30k new in 1993 (that's $45k in 2010 money).

If Honda's new CBR250 is a single 250cc four stroke then I could see them making a larger displacement Supermono replica type bike. And being a manufacturing giant the cost could be kept down. They could snatch up a couple of the 450cc MX bikes that have been turned into road racers and use them as test mules for a street version.
Or screw it, just let KTM do it or Aprilla.
