A really good friend of Stella and I was involved in a serious bicycling accident about five weeks ago.

Joe Neer is the friend in need.

Joe rides his bicycle everywhere. 

Going to meet a friend for breakfast across town.  Yep.  Drive? No.  Taxi? No. Train? No? Bike? YES!

Going to meet a friend at the library across town.  Yep.  Drive? No.  Taxi? No. Train? No? Bike? YES!

Going to meet a friend for a drink across town.  Yep.  Drive? No.  Taxi? No. Train? No? Bike? YES!

Riding your bike for 6,000 miles a year just because you can?  Yep, that's how Joe rolls.

Riding in the el Tour de Tucson (109 mile route) at age 69? Why not, he's done it a few times before!

Crashing really hard at mile four of el Tour....not expected by anyone.

Spending a few weeks in ICU recovering from said wreck...totally out of the question.

Needing a ride home on a private jet not covered by insurance...never thought it would come to this.

Helping out a stranger in need??  The DMF has always stepped up to the challenge.

Don't have any money to spare but when my stuff on cg/ebay that I was putting toward bike bling is all yours when it sells.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

My humble currency is usually worthless.  But not today.

Its already more than enough to be rocked by injury without being slugged for air-ambulance  ???.  Move to a civilised country will ya!  [cheeky] ;).  In the mean time I'm glad offer a little  help.
