Can anyone tell me where are the best seats for the indy GP, I want to get them early.  I have never been so for two days I will not worry about cost.  Down in front, up high, which vista?  Thanks

Although it was nice to have seats on the main straight to catch the grid/ceremony, the best place to view is probably up on the hill, which would be general admission.  Just bring something to sit on and hike it up.

i went in 2008, got penthouse (i think that's what they were called?) seats.  up high, right at the end of the front straight/entry to T1. felt like i was on the track.  awesome.  plus you're directly across from the garages etc

I was there the hurricane year - same location, great seats, plus you could see a few other turns on the track from that high. (wait, that was 2008, wasn't it? The memory's going at only 36)  Grin

i stayed at the airport, one of the usual suspects.. hilton or something.  it was cheap, close enough, and the bar was FULL of mechanics, team members, etc

I sat at the Duc stands for the first 2 years. I'm going for general admission this year. Staying either across the street camping with my buddy or the DOC central hotel.

Is it best up high or down low in that section?

I liked it better up....it especially gave me a good view when I watched the Yamaha tent blow over the fence onto the track in 08 for the Hurricane Ike GP

Last year I was up in section H with a good view of turns 14-16. Saturday I was down on the front straight for qualifying and it was electrifying.

Sat in J stands for Hurricane 08 and 2010.  Great view as they come into 10 all the way through 16 and can watch them go away down main straight.  Especially awesome as they get on the gas out of 16 to hit the straight, the sounds of the bike coming onto full song are unreal!

Although if I was dedicated (or a better gambler) the top rows of the NW Vista were really good, shade/cover for the sun/rain but General Admission so if you don't want to camp there all day you will lose them quickly.
