that's news all right! this sounds great. what's the plan with the tank you are getting? is it like the one on the first picture? do you want to fit it on a monster after some modifications maybe? (just to push my original question...)

my never ending m900 project  Roll Eyes

Yea it's the first one...but in aluminum Cheesy Thought about getting the plastic one as i'm constantly poor but it wouldnt work with the pant scheme I have in mind.

bike is already undergoing a total rebuild and serious mods, 996 swinger, entire 999 front are currently underway. I'd considered making a dedicated cafe racer out of an st3 frame but that'd require putting off my living on a sailboat for another bike i don't need. so it'll be going on the monster.

Is that a question or a statement?  I hope it is a statement.

They have a monster tank

link? pics?

i saw on their website (here: http://www.radicalducati.com/index.php?page=raceric) that they put the whole rad02 setup (tank+seat+cowl) on a monster frame, but they had to hack up the whole tail section. i am still wondering if you can rig up only the tank, without huge modifications to the tank or the frame.

i wonder whether now (with the tank mishaps) there might be a fairly big demand for their (rad's) tank style if it came tailored to monsters... there might be a market out there.

Holy double post, batman!

I will be watching this thread intently.  I'd never seen that Radical Ducati (S4?) bike, but I'd always thought my S2R would look fantastic with a 999 tank/seat setup.  Now I know.
