Indeed - and the first police incident with this sort of umbrella, it was reported to police as a sword. But, the lady who called it in called it in as a gun... which it sure doesn't look like

I work about a mile from the Burlington mall. Today myself and a co worker went to lunch. walking back to the office we saw a woman with a blue and white umbrella. I held back the urge to yell "oh no she has a gun!"

I'm posting this as I sit in Americas oldest active umbrella club. Oops I mean gun club.

I have it on good authority that Monster Dave would never post some of these things as "Internet Find of the Day" items.
