MV will be selling a less expensive 921cc version of their Brutale.  This Brutale 920 will come in black and white.  I think it looks good all blacked-out.  I wonder how much cheaper it will be than the $15,000 990R version?

its basically a dark version of the 990r and if they come in under 14k or so i think its a good idea.

but i think its a stop gap until they make a brutale 3 cylinder with them coming out wiht the f3 next year.  sort of like how ducati did the 800 motor for a while until they figured out that they needed the 696, 1100 and the streetfighter then got rid of the s2r 800 after they figured things out.

i see the same thing, this bike is basically the entry level spot before they change over to something like the brutale 3, 990r and 1090rr, or something like the brutale 3, b920 and 1090rr.  something like that will probably happen.

unfortunately i don't see them pricing this bike agressively enough to really open people up for it, bc basically for the price of the 920 you can get a monster 1100 or a streetfighter so they are going to have  tough time selling it.

the main thing is what will happen with the f3 when it comes out, will it sell? if it does then its right there with the 848 or something then they finally have a middleweight to compete with all the daytona, r6, 848 and gxr600/750.

should be interesting but again its basically for the crowd that likes the dark look.

Comparing an MV to the Gladius is like comparing the Monster to the SV.

Nothing wrong with making comparisons. Just saying they look similar.

i agree after a while most of the naked bikes are starting to look very similar to each other, especially when you start having every manufacturer make an all black or dark version of a bike or just similar colors to each other.

For me, the Brutale is like the hot chick with crappy skin.

I mean.. she walks in the room and DAYM you are into it.  But as you keep looking, you start to see that.. well.. yeah.. she's hot.. but...  not... all that...

My 1995 900SP still gives me thrills to just look at it and my 2005 S2r does the same.  I got wood when I first saw them and still do.

That's how I describe the Brutale:  The hot chick with bad skin.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

^^ but I can't see her face when I'm riding her

but even if she has bad skin, she is still the hot chick, just make sure you have "good" lighting and everyone can look good within reason. lol

Kinda looks like a Suzuki Gladius.

If you saw them in real life, parked next to each other, there would be no way to confuse the two.  I say more power to MV.  They need to sell as many bikes as they can.  It'd be a shame if they disappeared again.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

I don't get that analogy at all. I could understand if you just didn't like the look, but there is no bad skin. The Brutales and F4's look just as good up close as they do across the room. They have great fit and finish.  They look great up close.
