Actually, you're both correct.... I just checked and you are overseas.  All of you are.  And Upside Down too.  In fact.

Hi Mozella - Thanks for posting this up, I've been debating the same HID conversion on my '10 M1100s. From doing research, I found a couple guys that have issues with the factory H7 adaptor burning out or melting from the HID (possibly the high current required to fire up the HID bulb?). Have you had any issues since the installation? And has this affected the starting of the bike with the HID power current draw when you turn the key on?

I've used HID conversion kits in the past with my cars and bikes and never really had any issues, I know you can get kits from $50-$1000. The last one I used for my '02 CBR600F4i came with a slim ballast which made hiding the wiring/ballast easy.

You mentioned that you hid the ballast in the black plastic piece behind the steering head. Mine has the oil cooler there.

Any input from M1100 owners that have done the HID conversion as to where to hide the ballast?

Much appreciated for any help or input.
