Any recommendations/warnings?  coming up on my 12k service.  found this place on CL: http://www.cutterscustomcycles.com/index.html  They say they have a certified Ducati mechanic.  Anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks,

John

Never had a service done anywhere other than my own garage.

As far as shops in the Raleigh area, I think the consensus of members here would be to steer clear of Madison's and opt for Barnett's.

I haven't heard of the place you linked to.

Yeah.  Some of the more active members here have found other interests to devote time to I think.

No kidding.

I mean, not that it surprises me though.  Those assclowns couldn't even handle ordering a t-shirt, oil filter, and crush washers for me a while back.

And seriously, who doesn't stock an oil filter and crush washers?

I think I went there one time to see about their service department. Buncha make the beast with two backs-tards in service.  boo

Wow. I wondered if they'd be able to survive the downturn after just expanding so much.

Yeah.  Some of the more active members here have found other interests to devote time to

Yeah, I've been super busy at work and spent way too much money on auto racing. I am thinking of selling one or both bikes in the spring to finance a couple race weekends but have largely been dormant this winter.

Dunno if you have already had the work done but Cutters is the place to go. True class act. I bought my bike at Matison, got it serviced there and they f*#( everything up. Thought Barnett's would be better... nope. Then I rode a good hour to carolina eurosports in greensboro and they do good work but milk the clock at the highest rate of any of the dealers. Cutters has the lowest rates and best service by far -- also only guys with a dyno in the area.

I do my own services as well, but that's good to know about Cutters.

I might drop by there for a chat.   Smiley

Thanks for the info.

Hey Duc Fever, was just wondering how your experience at Cutters went. I'm getting close to the service interval for valve adjustments and looking for a really good place. Would prefer to do it myself, but would like to have a solid mechanic give the bike a once over the first time. Called the guys at Barnetts but as a closet mechanic, I didn't really appreciate them trying to pull the wool over my eyes on a couple of things. I'd rather not trailer it all the way to Gboro or Asheville if I can help it...

Sorry, nothing to report.  I have not got off my lazy ass yet to get over there yet.
