Call me the sexist pig that I am, but I really couldn't deal with a guy who was okay riding on the back (save for the occasional drunken or other necessity). I'd feel like I'd taken his balls forever within the first five minutes of the ride.

I rode pillon on a white scooter with a girl not to long ago. She was new to riding and was planning on taking her friends for rides. Knowing I ride, she asked if she could give me a ride and asked for pointers. I don't mind it. I would still rather ride myself. Or, throw a pillon on mine. But, if it's her bike and mine's not around and I need a ride. Screw it. Sometimes it's nice to enjoy the scenery. And, I'm not above enjoying spending some time with my arms around an attractive girl.

I disagree as it can be fun from a new perspective POV on an occasion (pic to follow )

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I'm thinking he could lap me with that scooter even if I was riding a Desmo

Your consideration is much appreciated.  [cheeky]

We've had the "cupcake" argument but ultimately that's my my sweetie has her own Monster. She doesn't like riding on the back and I've always felt that it's "a guy thing" to have the girl ride on the back (rather than the other way around).

Best riding off into the distance moto-movie-ending has to be the 1984 film Reckless.  A young Aidan Quinn takes a young Daryl Hannah away from it all while Bob Seger's Roll Me Away plays (one of the best moto songs ever).  Too bad it was just a Honda 305, but they were just young and reckless.  This is the last ten minutes of the film.  You can skip to about the 8:20 mark to catch the final scene.

Nice find AK!!  Excellent!

I want to thank you for starting this thread.  The topic helped me remember the Reckless ending which I had seen way back in the 80s and forgotten.  My wife now wants to see the film.  I searched for it on Netflix but it is not available there.  I think all of the film is available on youtube, but that is not the ideal way to watch a movie.  Overall this wasn't a great movie, but that ending!  The looser rebel kid with no future from a steel mill town in the end gets the girl of his dreams and rides off into the sunset.  Overly romantic, hokey, but I can be a shmuck, I loved it.
