On to something completely different . . . anyone know how to tell if you need to replace your brakes?  I seem to recall something about a viewing window or something.  Mine squeeky squeek horribly so I assume they need it but don't remember how to check . . .

You can look into the caliper from the back and see the pads.  Of course with tons of grit and dust and the fact that the pads are probably worn so thin you can't see them separately from the backing plate, well.... if you don't know what to look for you won't find it.

It takes less than a minute to pull them out entirely and look.  Check your manual and just do it.  Then you can use the window ;)

Laura took my truck when she flew to Hong Kong.  I don't know why she did, she doesn't like to drive or park it.  While she was traveling, she had it painted matte black.  It's awesome!
