Funny Nicky story. Just another whiney baby George story. Tongue I don't care how many make the beast with two backsing titles he wins or how good he is, I don't like the kid. Of course, I've heard he doesn't care for me either. laughingdp I hope The Ben takes a whipping stick to his ass on the track this year. waytogo

I love how they say that Lorenzo dumped the Italian leather sponsor because of Rossi and then conveniently omitted where Alpinestars is based.

I don't think there's much debate about Jorge being an amazing rider.  He beat everyone's ass this year, had an incredible run of 1st/2nds and won by a massive margin.  He may have an odd personality, but he is an amazing rider and the favorite to win it all again next year.  I know this will spark debate, but he's a far greater racer than Nicky has ever been (and I don't even particularly like Jorge).

probably obvious, but it's not about where astars is based, it's that rossi has worn dainese for over 15 years and "they didn't promote his winning the motogp world title to lorenzo's satisfaction."

...i'm also sure that alpinestars is throwing lorenzo a good deal of money in the process.

....I know this will spark debate, but he's a far greater racer than Nicky has ever been....

faster yes, greater is up for debate, as to me, there is a lot more to being a great racer than just being fast...Nicky has the heart, the work ethic, the will, and the charisma to make it through all the crap without slinging anyone under the bus, and lets face it...he has transitioned from a completely different end of the world of motorcycling in comparo to Jorge...one that if the shoes were reversed, I am not sure that Jorge would have been able to overcome the same diversities?

...i'm also sure that alpinestars is throwing lorenzo a good deal of money in the process.

well, and they are the only other suit manufacturer that is making an airbag deployment system for protection, which Jorge has probably become accustomed to and feels he needs like Linus' security blanket...all the stunning highsides he has launched himself into the stratosphere with, has probably at least engrained into his head to get the best he can, no matter what!

Even then doing an exemplary job of pointing out the glaringly obvious and treating it as news, we casually said to the teen racer from Kentucky "So, wearing your brother's old leathers, huh?".

"No, they're my mom's," Hayden deadpanned, while walking away.)

+1 on what zooom said on both those subjects! Thanks for not making me type something similar. Grin waytogo

Yeah, wouldn't have heard a funny comeback like that from George! Nicky's a damn good guy. Sure George is awesome on the track but personality wise Nicky laps him like he's standing still in the real world.

apparently Nicky has a real polished a pretty Tissot ad in GQ where if you had no idea who he was, you'de have maybe thought he was a model as he was VERY not Ducati or Kentucky looking...my sister said there was a tiny lil mention of him being a MotoGP racer, but otherwise, he looked like he was ready for a date with a Supermodel in NYC, as she put it.
