Awesome! You're going to have some great times on that bike. I've got an older 900 with similar power specs and you have no idea how much fun that middle Monster is gonna be!
And yea, just like everyone else, PICS! Stock or not, its fun to look at!

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for all of the replies. I will post pics this weekend as this week has been super busy and I have only been able to ride it twice.
Man, It is an awesome bike. Now I know what everyone is talking about from all of the reading I have done on this website forum.
She brings a smile to my face everytime I walk into the garage.
What are some people paying for insurance on these things? Mine was $630 annually but I put it under my umbrella insurance which probably requires a little higher rate for that coverage. Just curious.
Pics to come......

Good for you. Consider it a late Christmas present that you had to buy yourself since no one else got you one! [moto]
First street bike? Not to be a buzz kill but be careful out there and don't push it. Not too many dumbass car drivers out to kill you while riding dirt bikes. But there is no end to them on the street. I'm sure you know that, the old fart/Dad part of me had to say it.
Have fun, enjoy and ride heads up. Let us know when the mod bug hits... 'cause it will.

Congrats! You're going to have a ton of fun on her [moto]
To answer your question, I pay less than $300 a year for full coverage on my S2R1k. Probably less than most, but I have a decent record and multiple lines with State Farm.
P.S. Have you named her yet?
P.S.S. The weekend is almost over. Where's the pics

Ok, here is the pic of her. I was out enjoying her which is the reason for the delay. What a fun bike. Gonna do the Fender Eliminator Kit as my first "To Do" task. Would love the slip on exhaust but not ready to drop the $ since I just bought the bike. Someday.

Nice, looks beautiful, just like mine!! Riding impressions? As far as tail kits, i haven't been too impressed with most I have seen. They make the exhausts stick way back...not my thing. I'm actually thinking of making my own from sheet metal and in all honesty, the stock one doesn't look bad IMO. Watch out for those shine tires, take her easy around corners until the shine is gone!

Congrats and welcome to the group!! You will love every moment with her
Go easy on her until you two get to know each other. And like other said, ride easy around the corners until you break those tires in.
Question: What made you go for a M796? Did you test ride any others?
I'm interested to hear your experience as I'm sure all M796 owners have different reasons behind our choice of bike

Nice! I'm planning on removing the fender as my first task.
I don't actually mind the exhaust; The new heat shields look much better than the 'old' style. Perhaps a little more sound would be nice, but I wouldn't want it to be as loud as my Sport 1000 with baffle-less Termis.
