Hey All,
I will try to answer some of the questions.
-I am in Scottsdale and that is why there is no snow. Thanks god because I can ride her now.
-Thanks for the heads up on the tire shine as the dealer said the same thing. I have been taking it easy.
-The reason I chose the M796 ABS. Well, I have ridden every type of bike out there. Harley, Dirtbike, sport bike...... and got the chance to test ride a M696 about a year ago. I fell in love with the feel of the bike and also the sitting position. Lets be honest, they are badass looking as well. The bike was lightweight and came with high end parts since it is a Ducati. I was a little afraid of getting the 696 and then down the road maybe wanting a little more power. I didn't need the 1100 as that is just too much bike for what I was wanting to do. So, the 796 came out with some slight improvements and voila. It was the right bike for me. The one at the dealership was an ABS bike and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense for safety, resale value, and insurance cost. I don't regret it for a second. It cost a little more but I feel like I got the bike for a good price and haven't looked back since.
-The fender eliminator kit is still in the works but I can't seem to figure out which one to do between the Competition Werks or the other one(can't remember name).
Anywho, love the website here. Everyone seems so passionate about their bikes and also very helpful!

for tail kits, there are a few options, but my only recommendation is don't do the CW one.

keep the reflectors on contrary to what everyone says.
i almost got a 1100 myself but instead went in a different direction, though i have to say that the 796/1100 are both great riding bikes when i test rode them.

Really? After my research it seemed the CW was the best option available for the 796.

So, I have waited and waited and finally bit the bullet!
I thought you were going to tell us about your new Royal Enfield. Seriously, congrats on the new Duc. The 796 impresses me as a modern Monster 800 - the bike that led me to buy my S2R1000.

Congrats! I was also considering that bike (SSS, 10 spoke wheels, undertail exhaust, modular bodywork, radial brakes)! There was a short time opportunity to buy that bike sans ABS for $1000 less and some winter deals. But alas, my current 06 S2R1K came up for half the money and it was very similar (exc no dry clutch). In shopping for one, I wanted a SSS, dry clutch, 1000cc, air-cooled, 5 spoked wheels or newer, and lots of mod options. I only rode mine home and very shortly, it was disassembled in my house! Have fun! Nice Duc! Don't forget to name her. My bike is Lucille (as in Ball, with red hair). It's the first bike I named and I've had plenty of bikes. This one just exudes emotion enough to deserve a name.

Yes, but only on motocreations facebook page. At there page, scroll down and you will see their most recent post. Looks like they are half way done and it looks like a complete tail vs just a short or no rear fender.

Looks good, so far! I have not really liked the tail kits out as of right now for the newer Monsters! I can't wait to see this one.

Great. I just got the Competition Werks one and started replacing it. I only ended up having an hour to work on it and that most definitely was not enough time. The directions suck. That carbon one looks sweet but I wonder how long till it is avail. and also how much.
Anyone else have have a hard time with the CW one?
