My son ( Ducati 848 owner) just called me a few minutes ago to let me know one of our friends who owns a Yellow 748 Ducati stopped in at Pikes Peak Harley Motorsports. He said there are no Ducatis on the floor at the dealership.  When asked one of the shop personnel said they were in storage. In the attic was what he was told. Apparently there is some kind of disagreement betwen Pikes Peak Harley Davidson/Motorsports and Ducati.  Hopefully they will lose their franchise becasue they are not much of a dealership and no one wants to take their bike there.

Just called them and they've officially dropped Ducati as a brand they sell.  Only BMW and Hardly's now.
I know Kevin Marshall is still a master BMW and Ducati tech there, and he does a great job.  They said they can still get parts and do major and minor services, they just can't do recalls or warranty work.

Ironically, supposedly their BMW representative came by for a visit and said it was a crazy move, as Ducati is one of the only companies increasing market share.

But this is a cruiser town, it's just the way it is.  Most people around here aren't looking to drop big coin on something other than a Harley.

I heard about this at Christmas time when a family member told me they tried to buy me a Ducati shirt, but when they walked in to PPM, nothing Ducati was available.   boo  Yes, Kevin is a good guy, but unfortunately I think I'll be taking my biz up to Boulder Motorsports from now on.

I miss the days when BMW/Ducati was its own thing on 21st St.   Tongue

Just heard from my son who is investigating getting some motorcycles for UCCS. The Ducatis that Pikes Peak Motorsports has are now on sale for between $2,000 and $4,000 off.

I too miss the nice BMW/Ducati shop on 21st.  Not the greates location for a dealership but I really liked the people and the promotions and get togethers and the Vintage Bike Show.

I miss going in there and talking to Sean.

After southern was sold to the Hardly Parkinson guys it ceased to exist for me and to many of the people I know too.
I just hated the whole atmosphere - I don't want to go to hillbilly-ville to get my Ducati fix.
Ducatis are sophisticated exotic European bikes, I want an atmosphere to match.

Love ya Dave and we will miss Kevin, But you won't be seeing me in there. Good Luck.
