Snow is more pretty when it's rare.

Vin, ready to come back to Cali yet?  ;D

Yes.  I have been ready.  A few more months!

I'm too damn lazy to go take a pic.  ;D

But there's gotta be at least 18" on the level everywhere, more where it's drifted.

Well I haven't had time to really post much lately, but just before Christmas we had a little storm roll through my neck of the woods. (Mammoth Lakes, Ca.)  At my house we got somewhere in the neighborhood of about 8 feet.  On the mountain we got something like 12-18 feet depending where you looked.  This came in about 5 days.  I've lived here for some big storms, but this was nuts.  Personally I enjoyed it quite a bit, but that wasn't the case for everyone.  If I can figure out how to get some pictures off my phone I'll put em up.

Just got back from 4 days of glorious skiing at Whitefish, Mt.  This is a pic going up the lift.  This was the best four days I've had in the last 20 years.  Awesome!!!

Nice!  [thumbsup]

I really need to start skiing again. Need new gear though. I loaned my stuff to my bass player about 10 years ago, never saw him or my gear again.  [thumbsdown]

In some respects, he did you a favor -- gear has gotten a whole lot better in the past decade.  [thumbsup]

I priced some decent mid-level gear last night. I think I'll just rent. I could buy a used dirt bike for that kind of money.

And so I don't get accused of threadjacking... here's a really shitty pic of my driveway a couple days ago. 24 hours before it was 50 degrees and I was riding. It was in the low 20's in this pic.

And sorry for the pic quality. My iso was on 80 and the pic came out almost smurf blue, so I changed it to b&w.

^^^ Bike makes a sad face.  Left mine out for a couple of days last year and got this.  We don't get anything impressive enough to photograph :)
