So I ride the ST3 down to the girlfriend's Saturday, nice ride, cool and comfy for freaking January in north Idaho.
Tool around a bit over the weekend. This morning I get up, after 5 hours of sleep.
I get on the bike and it wont start.
I fiddle with it and the lights light up and the fuel pump primes and nothing.
I am about to go back inside and tell the GF I need her car when I realize it’s in gear.
So I put it in neutral and start her up.
Cruise through town and start up the hill. At the very top the wind hits from the side.
Turns out above the valley i was in they had a wind advisory for 45 mph winds with higher gusts.
Right at the top of the hill, WAP the whole right fairing goes flying off.
Gee it’s a wonder what happens when you are going 60 with a 40mph side wind and
realize you FORGOT THE make the beast with two backsING BELLY PAN BOLT that ties it all together.
FML.
