How does the weight compare to the OEM?  I know Corbin seats feel like they add lead to them.  I'm on the pre-registered list so I guess I need to make up my mind pretty soon.

The OEM seat is 3 lb 10 oz; and the Sargent is 5 lb 0 oz, on my electronic kitchen scale, which I presume is pretty accurate.

+1.  More pics please.

that sucks... pay money to add 1 lb 6 oz to your bike.

do you know how much that would cost to reduce later in titanium or AL parts?!

Thanks Desertbilly, that's what I wanted to know.  I've gone to great lengths to reduce weight as much as possible on my M1100 (less is more, right?).  I'm actually pretty comfy on my modified OEM seat.  I removed the cover and shaped the foam for a flatter riding perch; got rid of most of the forward slope but still have enough foam that I never feel the seat pan.  I think I'll just stay with what I have.

This Sargent seat is great!   [thumbsup]

Now I have no sensation of being pushed forward, my sit bones are cradled, and when I lean off I can sit on the edge of the seat while still feeling attached.  Good design and execution.

The weight?  Heck, I got plenty on me to get rid of.   [laugh]

Just never fill up. Certainly running a quarter tank would save some weight. ;)

My Sargent seat showed up tonight for my 2010 M1100. I haven't ridden on it yet, but the fit is perfect, the cowl fits fine, and it seems quite comfortable for sitting on it in the garage. The sloping, slide-forward effect is completely gone. The 'butt' surface feels wider and flatter. The foam is nice and firm. I don't know anything about upholstering, but the assembly seems very good. So far, I couldn't be happier with it.

I was on the pre-registered list, so I got $50 off the $399 price. I ordered it last Monday (2-7), they confirmed my details by email the next day, and shipped it on Wednesday (2-9). I got the basic, black surface with the black welt (as not to conflict with my IoM 78 skins.)

I have a question, what is the difference between the $419 price seat and the $399? I can't seem to see the difference in options listed between the two other than one is -19 and the other is -11.

I was looking into the Standard, non-heated, with the Red welt and Carbon FX as it is the standard one offered, thanks, I might just be a numpty :)

Got my seat today, very well made!! I got the WS606-11 regular height for the 696 just to have the storage under the seat. I have a 796, but have removed the flapper motor, so this one works! Under storage compartment, seems water tight, so good for insurance, some ID etc. Can't wait to get some good weather in the next few months to try it out, I know I will be pleased! Great workmanship from what i see and you have a year if anything falls off or tears though normal use(disclaimer) :) Man when is this winter over? I know i shouldn't be complaining, people in Japan are having a rough time :(
