If I get my clutch parts today, should have the beast running tomorrow afternoon.  Maybe I'll join Ryan on the way to SB.

The SP airport open house is a lot of fun.  Great planes, cool cars and bikes, really nice people.  Though it's less than a mile from my house, I wont be going this month.

Just got home from Santa Barbara.  Took the 192 -> 150.

We got stopped by the  Police right by the Villanova school before getting to the 150/33 split.  They had the whole road closed.

Apparently, there was a large fatality motorcycle/vehicle accident.  Tongue  Two onlookers told us that at least two riders were boo and possibly more.  I asked what kind of bikes they were, cruisers/choppers/sportbikes and the said they couldn't tell.  They were way too messed up.  vomit

So we took a few different side roads, backtracked, and finally made it back to the 150 east of the 33.

If anybody has info, or hears of anything, please post it up?

If Saturday was any indicator.... TONS of "Wild Hogs" types rolling in mobs thru the 150 and 33 ( there were also a few groups of serious touring clubs... includning a group from Santa Cruz on a 3 day bender waytogo (guy we spoke to was on A Beemer S1k with bags).

I also noticed a gross lack of safety gear, a lack of skill on the part of more that 1 rider and an abundance of tough-guy scowls....

Hoping it wasn't as bad as the  Police first stated... "Cuz it draws unnecessary attention to ALL riders when that stuff happens

ugh...

I didn't talk to the Police...  he just had us turn onto a side street.  I stopped a couple who were walking along the bike path.  They gave us the story.

Ya, we get a bad rap sometimes... the whole "One bad apple..." theory.   Undecided

I'm not going to tell you about the bullsh!t ticket I got on Friday, because I don't want to get the thread locked because of "Cop Talk."
