. . . . that isn't even out yet.

So excited to get it sometime in April.

*sigh* You think you have sleepless nights when you're waiting for your bike too arrive, well I actually have mine, a new M1100 2010 with only 75km on the clock, sitting in my garage, fueled, waiting to go and I can't (i.e. shouldn't) ride it until April 24 Undecided. My license is kinda on holiday at the moment, hence my predicament. I bought it 3 weeks ago because of a finance deal that was expiring soon.

If you ever watched The Right Stuff movie, where Sam Sheppard (as Chuck Yeager) is looking at the Bell X1, i hear the same sound in my head each time I go into my garage. Its the mechanical version of a siren song I tells ya!

I bought a 796 and had it delivered in early December, literally the day before our first serious snowfall.  I managed to put 6 kilometers on the clock before putting it to bed for the winter.  I purchased it because it was a helluva deal (an 'old' model without ABS) and with the knowledge that I wouldn't get to ride it much (if at all) before winter, but it doesn't make the wait any easier.

haha, literally almost exactly what i did... i got the abs model though.  managed to freeze my butt off though and get about 100 miles on it before i had to put it away... and then have someone drop it  bang head

either way, looking forward to this weekend... weather looks good enough to ride it around again Cheesy

It's 11 Celsius here right now!  I'm so tempted to go riding, but the melting snow is making the roads messy, and there is a TON of salt.  I'd take out my 250 Ninja, but I'd have to move the other bikes around.  It was poor planning, but I had already stored the others before the 796 was delivered.  The temperature is supposed to be back below freezing by Saturday.   Sad  Ah, well.

The bugger for me is that although I can't ride my 1100 at the moment, I can't blame the weather like you Northern Hemisphere folk can. It's been in the mid to high-20C's (about 80-90f?) for weeks now in Melbourne, with a bit of warm rain, it being summer here. Perfect riding weather Embarrassed

By the time I got home from work I could no longer resist.  I had to move the 796 to get to the 250 Ninja, but it was worth the hassle!

It hit 12 Celsius today, but it felt a lot warmer.  The streets were pretty messy with all of the melting snow, and I had to dodge a few potholes, but it was nice to actually get riding in mid-February.

It was fun while it lasted:

You may have to buy Da Toymies to keep your warranty kosher. That's the beauty of having an older bike. No warranty no problem. You can do whatever you want with a bike that's past it's warranty. With that new Monster you're stuck with Termignoni if you wish to correct the lean fueling and preserve your warranty at the same time. Termignoni® - Performance Held For Ransom.
You can always buy the Termi kit, use the freeflow air filter & ECU then dump the cans on some fanboy; there are plenty of them out there whom have drunk the kool-aid and will buy the cans from you at pretty much whatever you ask. I sold mine to a guy who knew full well they didn't fit his bike but he was so brainwashed he bought them anyway at my price! And about ten others lined up behind him. I wish I had more to sell! Easier than selling bottled water in the desert.
Then, buy some cans that look & work better but cost less. Make some money on it. But whatever you do, do not remove those ridiculous cartoon stickers they put on their mufflers. Those are key. The fans seem to think they add a couple HP.
Am I supposed to think the Leo Vince stickers looks cool ? Maybe if you have a Duc with the same color scheme as that girly San Diego Chargers uniform .

Weather is not bad here in LA  [moto] I hope Ducati delivers on time. they said "May" hopefully is early May.

The test models will hit the UK dealers next week....I hope the reviews are good.
