I love this place, because with all the wonderful advice, a complete mechanical moron (me) was able to buy a really badly crashed 2000 900ie monster and rebuild it in 9 months, without any major glitches. and ride it all last summer. [moto]

I am forever grateful and appreciative.

My own little small payback is try and give away some of the extra little parts (ie. footpegs) whenever anyone posts that they need something I have, but I'm not sure I can ever payback the good karma for all the great help I've been given.

So thank you again to everyone who ever took the time to give me a word or several of advice on the tech section, especially when some of the questions were often inane and simple.

this forum is one of the better forums i've ever been on. i like the sense of humor & the knowledge base here. without it, my dealer would have had to install my oil cooler & my fender eliminator.  & one of the reasons why i have so few post is because you guys always beat me to what i was going to say.

I wish there were more people in my area as "good" as the people on here. Life would be a lot more fun and less dangerous.

Err, maybe more dangerous.  Tongue

I am new to this forum, and have been reading most of the posts from the near miss and "what went wrong" blogs. I have to say that this has been very helpful to me as a returning rider and for this reason alone, I love the DMF site!  Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this site!   Grin

I started the S2R 800 vs S2R 1000 thread hoping to get some info, expecting maybe 3 responses max. Since I started that thread it has reached several pages in length with extremely detailed and knowledgeable responses. I could immediately tell that this was a forum full of riders and not posers. I hope to be a contributing member for a long time here.

If it weren't for this forum I might be the head of my agency.  I might be a world class scientist.  I might have won a gold metal.  But I check the forum every 15 minutes and never get anything done.  But ya know, I don't care cause I love you guys (and girls).   applause applause popcorn popcorn Grin Grin [moto] [moto]
