Anyone use a Vibranator?

No, this is not some pun like "worst blow job" or "get nakid" This is actually the name of the product:
http://www.vibranator.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=09-635-710-N-002-B
I saw it the other night while reading RRW and thought it sounded interesting.

looks kinda like the Motovation bar ends. I have a set of those on one of the bikes, and think they are well made.

Yes - they look similar. Did you feel any difference w/the motovation set vs. stock?

yes, and the finish is nice - they aren't on my main ride though

Looks promising, but I'm left wondering if it might make things worse if it wasn't used on the right, specific bar type.
i.e. with some bars (if it happened to resonate at a different frequency) it'd damp the vibration. On others (if it happened to resonate at the same frequency) it'd make it worse.

Yep they look the same as the motivations but without the o-ring which is needed for a real tight fit. The motivations are the same but made better for a little less, IMHO.

those are pricey.
on another note, I thought this was going to be an R rated folder for a minute.

The theory makes sense, but:

i.e. with some bars (if it happened to resonate at a different frequency) it'd damp the vibration. On others (if it happened to resonate at the same frequency) it'd make it worse.
Though I suppose if you've got clip-ons, it would be possible (in theory) to "tune" your bars via things like material, material thickness, and overall length of clip-on, making things like this unnecessary.
Anyone have any FHE with how in-bar grip heaters affect handlebar vibration? I'd think they would serve double duty, keeping your mitts toasty while damping some of the worst vibration. Again, I suppose it would depend on the resonant frequency of the whole system.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

I don't know exactly how these work, but wouldn't it simply be that they are shaking/vibrating
by themselves - kind of meeting the bar coming in at the opposite direction?

Sort of.
There are a couple of forces at work.
One is resonant frequency, the other is simple energy absorption.
The resonant frequency of a bar is going to be influenced by a lot of factors: bar material, tubing thickness, overall length of clip-on or distance from bar mount, control placement, etc, etc. By adding a piece to the bar, you're changing its dynamic. As an example, think of a guitar string. A set mass at a set tension at a set length with a set thickness creates a set frequency.
The other force at work is, as I said, simple energy absorption. F = MA. By adding mass, you can decrease the acceleration forces exerted on the bars. Less acceleration, all else being equal, means that the oscillations are less intense.

These might work - stole idea from cycling

Except for cost the ultimate dampner would be mercury filled so it would work like a recoil reducer.

Meh. If cost wasn't an issue, I'd go with depleted uranium.
Also, there's no "n" in damper.

No "n"?
