That will be tough. Don't see many Kawi/Suzook shops letting anyone go for a demo spin on those bikes. Liability issues. If Alan wants to go for a Busa spin he is always welcome to ride mine. The latest ZX14s have their ECUs set up for better fueling. The early year bikes were real weak in the low and middle range. The stock Busa kicked thier ass. The new Busas and ZX14s are pretty much equal. Throw a blanket over them... they are that close. I have a new Busa but I also like the ZX14. Great high speed sport touring platform!!!

the shops that rarely do test rides are Al Lamb and the like (they did offer me a goldwing to ride and turned it down because I know if I ride the cadillac it's coming home).  I have never had a problem doing demo rides especially if I show up on my bike.

Lisa, call the dealer in Carrollton and ask.

Nice low mileage S2R1000 at High Five Cycles for a good price. It's even the fastest color! laughingdp

(cough!) ahemm..hrumph hrumph waiting for pics....yes er a rather AMEN to that Bro Lyd Amen. Yellow does seem to fly faster than RED it seems to me lately. I go faster in yellow. I am more handsome on my yellow 999 as well. I seem to be funnier too. Can you tell?  Grin

As we all probably know:
On the electromagnetic scale, yellow is merely a higher frequency than red. Light, regardless of color, travels at the same speed: 186,000 miles/sec.
My RED S4RS will do approximately 1/1000th of that.

I, however, will not be on it, if and when this happens.

On the other hand, RED is so ....so....Italian. It's nice to have a choice you know.  waytogo

The only problem with Yellow now is that Ducati doesn't put out any more Yellow bikes thus no more yellow-coordinated attire!

Well, @ 1800 I'm going to stop for the night and get some much needed shut eye.

Saw something pretty cool the other day at Skillman/E.Lovers Lane near my house. It was a small box van with the rear and both sides of the box covered by glass panels so you could see through it. Inside was a new Victory cruiser strapped down inside the box. When I caught up to it I realized it was a advertising gimmick, the van had all sorts of Victory ad stuff written on it. The truck door had the ad company's name on it so I guess you could rent it and put whatever you wanted in the glassed in box and they just drive it around town. Pretty cool way to show off your new scooters to the traveling public! waytogo

I have a yellow/ black FirstGear Fuel leather-textile jacket

and a yellow/black FirstGear Mesh-Tex II jacket

I would like to sell. Both size XL (44-46" chest I think). VG to EXL condition, no scuffs. Slight bug splatter, but I do have Lexol wipes if you care.

They date from my '04 r1100s days. It was yellow and titanium grey.

I was keeping them until I bought another yellow bike, but I don't want to keep them so long that I look like Barney Oldfield when I wear them again.

So, are you saying if I buy the jackets I'm going to look like BO?  That's not our sitting president btw. I'll pitch you a $1 bill for them both. What's the tax on um?

No, I'm just sayin' if I keep them until I have another bike that matches them, i.e., a yeller 'un, I will resemble the Terror of the Speedway.
In some ways, Red, you already do; no offense. Maybe it's the seegar and the crazed grin, I dunno....

Anyways, I think a mere sawbuck is a bit light in exchange for these sterling examples of motorcycle haberdashery. Yet, I do not take affront (Gawd! I've got to stop watching those Deadwood DVDs, they're starting to rub off on me!).

On a completely different subject...

There is a really nice 2006 999 for sale in the used/demo section of AMS' website. Only 1,243 miles, adjustable levers and license plate relocation kit. It looks completely stock other than that and it looks really clean! Oh yeah, it also has the rear number plate piece like the 999S and R models have... hope they didn't have to spend the $650 that costs!!

Decent price too but I am sure it's negotiable, most things are. For those not enamored with Ducati's new superbikes this would be a really nice find. I love my 999! If you have one you probably love yours too! waytogo
