Rolled up to the 6100 miles mark on the bike today. I need to get the bike in for service in 4 weeks so I have plenty of time for trackday (7weeks) and the HC trip(8 weeks)

A few people in the General Board are wondering about the PugglePod 9000 vids. Who's working on them if anybody?
How'd the paint job end up Rich?

Your vid is posted in the link, but I think they're looking for a ride vid.

...well ...it's still a work in progress.
I have a change (or two) I want to make to the body -and if I'm going to, now is the time.
I was pretty close to shooting color twice -I'm just being fussy now!
Need to get some chromate-type primer (for the metal parts) tomorrow too...
Going with black frame/linkage paint (not the yellow SS's frame color -which is metallic bronze) after much deliberation...
PPG Omni MTK 2K Urethane black
Should be almost as tough as powdercoat

Went riding yesterday morning, temp in low-mid 70's, 120 miles round trip, 3.5 hours.
I went south yesterday to the northern applicachian mts and man was it great! I left about 8 in the morning and it seemed like I was the only one on the road. Nice cool weather, perfect for full leathers! I went down highway 9 for about 45 miles, over 100, 25-45 mph turns (posted) (constant hills) then went down 43 and again more of the same. Then went through jefferson lake state park, which was just awesome. twisties on cliff sides, elevation changes from going down one side to up the other side. It was great. Couldn't find the camera, but I will probally do it again next weekend and will take the camera. I wish you guys could have been here it was beautiful!!! I rode for about 3.5 hours and was home by noon to spend some quality time with mindy.
Wish you were here!

I've inherited Sam's ipod Shuffle (instruction booklet long gone).
I've loaded songs on it with my laptop. The laptop is synched with the Shuffle so the songs are there.
But with the Shuffle's power on (green light lit), when I push play, nothing happens - no sound from the headphones and it won't play through my car stereo either (I've got an ipod Classic that I use in the car all the time so I know the cars' radio will play MP3 just fine...)
Anyone know anything about these little... gems?
?

This sounds too obvious but you do have the volume turned up - right ? If it is turned all the way down - then no sound !

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Thanks for your help, that could be it. Now all I have to do is find the volume function... There's just one button on the Shuffle and it is supposed to do everything; pause/play/forward/back. The Up and Down arrows on the button don't seem to do much so I'm off to the Apple/Ipod website... joy.
