Staying away from politics and religion is always a smart move. The politics forum was a good place to vent.

"Angelina Jolie's birthday gift for Brad Pitt: $12,000 motorbike

Dec. 9, 2008 08:02 AM
BANG Showbiz

Angelina Jolie is splashing out on a $12,000 motorbike for partner Brad Pitt’s 45th birthday.

The ‘Wanted’ actress has bought Brad – who celebrates his big day on December 18 - a top of the range Ducati Monster 1100S.

A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: “Since Angelina is always in a dilemma of what to buy Brad, she's getting him the new Ducati Monster 1100S titanium.

“It's a surprise. She ordered it from Italy months ago. It's new and I believe it's not out yet in Ducati stores. I guess a guy can never have too many bikes!”

Last year, Angelina is believed to have treated Brad to a motorcycle costing a staggering $100,000 for his birthday."

A good down payment, & a good monthly payment, title in escrow, insurance guaranteed, etc., he might change his mind Wink

 Airspace
In addition to communicating with the local Air Traffic Control facility, all aircraft in the Persian Gulf AOR are required to give the Iranian Air Defense Radar (military) a ten minute 'heads up' if they will be transiting Iranian airspace.

This is a common procedure for commercial aircraft and involves giving them your call sign, transponder code, type aircraft, and points of origin and destination.

A guy who overheard this conversation on the VHF Guard (emergency) frequency 121.5 MHz while flying from Europe to Dubai. It's too good not to pass along. The conversation went something like this...

Air Defense Radar: "Unknown aircraft at (location unknown), you are in Iranian airspace. Identify yourself."

Aircraft: "This is a United States aircraft. I am in Iraqi airspace."

Air Defense Radar: "You are in Iranian airspace. If you do not depart our airspace we will launch interceptor aircraft!"

Aircraft: "This is a United States Marine Corps FA-18 fighter. Send 'em up, I'll wait!"

Air Defense Radar: (no response ... Total silence)

I love the video of the two Goldwing guys riding the tail of the dragon scraping on every turn.

It almost makes me want to buy one!
