Do those two intersect?  I think you mean Parker and K Ave.  I know there are several on or around K Ave.

I know about 500 experienced instructors including myself that would disagree with that method. 99.9% of them would say you need to master the trigger system as is. Learn to control that first long trigger pull as it transitions to SA. I wouldn't recommend fumbling around thumb cocking the hammer for your first shot while in the middle of stress fire. No more than I would recommend thumb cocking a 1911 or revolver. Cocked and locked on 1911s and double action only on revolvers. Efficiency of motion, nothing extra.

Even though I threw out the M3 rail light suggestion Slag does have a good point regarding low light/night fire. I am a big fan of using hand held Surefires. Lots of different deployment options from Harries technique to Rogers-Surefire (which I favor) to others. Rail or hand held, you just flash the area anyway rather than constant on. Looks cool on TV having it constantly on but it will get you shot in real life. Flash the light and move, flash the light and move... make them shoot where you were not where you are. My two cents.

Very good post!

Let me know when you're available.  You're typically busier than I am.

If I could delete my PMs about this I would. Do whatever you want with your firearm purchase. My opinion is just that. It means zero. Figure it out for yourself, just like I did. What I think shouldn't mean shit about what you do or what you think you want to do. My opinion on this topic doesn't mean any more than a motorcycle related topic. Knock yourself out. If you feel comfortable doing something then who am I to suggest otherwise. Sorry for the "holier than thou" recommendations. I'm now officially done with this topic. Gee, isn't this a bike board after all? laughingdp

I don't know anything about your PMs but I thought your earlier post was good. I carry my 1911 cocked and locked, and if I carried my Berettas I would be happy with the first shot being double action and the remaining shots being single action. Whatever you practice with. I'd love to get some proper training because I'm sure I have personal habits that should be fixed based on real world situations.

Nice 2006 S2R1000 at SWSBKs on ebay. I would say that 48 miles is considered "low mileage"!!
