that geezer glider is a solid 3-400 lbs heavier than the mts 1200.

and the 96 c.i. version doesn't even make 70 hp. Not sure if the 103c.i. makes much more, but certainly not anywhere close to the 150 of the multi. Its laughable that you bring that panzer replacement up other than to let everyone know you have one.

Your sarcasm detection level is piss poor of late for starters.  Secondly my bike is an Electra Glide.  And lastly, there have been engine mods done that make it now go 54 instead of 44 mph.  

Did you really think I was comparing the Multi to the Harley?  Breath a little and have fun, you're not the village cop around here after all.  Unless you've been hired as such.

i find the power surprising everytime when i gas it. You just don't expect something that's called a touring bike to accelerate that way.

Just curious; is there really a comparison? I've never ridden a harley and always assumed they were slow as hell.

I'm sure that if Ducati were to get serious about American road racing there would be some good competitive races with this new XR1200 machine. Now that Buell has gone by the way of the grim reaper the door is wide open for H-D to jump into the fray. Hey, I live here in America. I support our economy and engineering efforts. I think there are some good things coming down the pike from H-D in the future if they address the sportbike market. I see the XR1200 as being a heads up competitor for Ducati in the twin classes if the needed engineering is put in place. I will sell my Duc in a heart beat if H-D brings out a decent challenger to the 1198. I hear the snickers and see the smirks.

I personally wont go that far.  There's a bike for every purpose and what you guys consider a cruiser is not what I consider a cruiser, being that my fat, slow, heavy as hell PIG does the job for me and the wife.  Most of you would never be caught dead on a cruiser - I get that too.

For my part, I'm an equal opportunity offender.  I laugh at all brands including ones I own BUT in the end I don't care what you ride and why.  If you ride two wheels your my brother and that's it to me.  What I can't stand is snobs on two wheels.

OK we're off to Yellowstone now for a much needed separation from contact with the normal world.
