my first car was a Pontiac 6000 for $1500 bucks and a blown engine...

A blown engine?  I'm impressed!

My first "car" I learned to drive was a 1966 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup (with a 1963 grill on it  Wink )
It only had a 355 cubic inch high-compression cammed-up Holley-carburated small block in it, but it had a 125H.P nitrous injection kit.
It was a good starting point to grow from...  laughingdp

It wasn't until my second vehicle (which I've STILL got) that I bought a blower...

I sold the nitrous motor ...but I still know where it is, and after twenty-some-odd years, I still have "dibs" if it gets sold.
It was the first engine I scratch built.

I should bronze that make the beast with two backser.   cheeky

Nice  waytogo  I'd really like to know more about motors... one day when I've got some serious free-time I'll go to motor building school, if there is such a thing.  Think I'd like to know how to build a bad-ass VW boxer motor.  THose motors are all over the place... kinda like cochroaches  laughingdp  If I get really good at it,  I could branch out into 911 motors (not quite so much like cochroaches).

There is a particular (peculiar?) pilot in our group who has been thinking aobut building a hotrod boxer motor and putting it into
some Porshe product... PM him for the specifics.

I'm sure he'd be up for whomever looking over his shoulder if he gets to the wrenching phase of his plan...

I know a parts guy that just rebuilt the bottom end of a 351 for friends 69 mach stang. He is currently in a 454 rebuild with his dad and knows where there is a rebuilt 350 chevy with engine stand for $600.
