Practical Sportbikes magazine

It's not news that UK bike mags are a jillion times better than US mags, but this one is especially good.  It's pretty new, I just picked up issue #4.  It covers older bikes mostly.  The current issue has a nifty "root to leaf" chart showing the pedigree of several brands, including Ducatis.

Lots of good howtos and restoration stories... The paper edition is $10 on the newstand, but I think it's worth it.  Between this and UK Superbikes, my wife is pissed ($20/month for 2 magazines!??)

i'm actually looking into getting an ipad just to be able to cheaply get the uk bike magazines... what stopped me is that for some odd reason, zinio only have BIKE magazine from india, not the uk...

what i'm hoping for is that there will be mcn/ride/bike on the ipad soon... would totally make it worth the investment to get those better mags easily.

Thanks for the lead -- it looks like exactly the sort of magazine I'd really use. Sure, I love reading about all the latest, greatest & fastest, but neither my skills nor bank balance are going to warrant actually playing there.

Of course, only the British could imagine selling a magazine with such an oxymoronic title; is it on the London news stands next to Swinging Monogamy and Pleasant Warfare magazines?

I was thinking the same thing myself when I saw it.  "Oh great.  Another 'Ethel the Aardvark Goes Quantity Surveying' mag."

But the pic of the bike on the cover intrigued me and it's free to browse at the bookstore.. I was hooked!
