not on mine!  Smiley

I think they might cause trouble in high cross winds.   Maybe not.

Horrible? seriously?

It is literally as though someone asked me "hey, what are the 2 genres of bikes you hate the most" and I was only allowed to respond in pictures.

sport bikes with extended swingarms that wont ever see a drag strip and rolling monoliths of billet and chrome that couldn't  swing a corner if it was tied to a post. I know people dig that stuff, I will never understand why.

you know that saying "well I wouldn't kick it out of the garage if someone gave it to me.."? totally doesn't apply here.

I agree - those would be horrible. If you're going to do that why not add spinners, neon lights, and an obnoxious exhaust that sounds like garbage??

...ok, maybe that was a little overly negative....I simply vote  boo

I talked with a guy here at work after looking at his various pictures he had taken from when he was at SEMA 2 years ago and he ended up chatting with the manufacturer of these rims and they told them that these are fine for show purposes, but they do not reccomend them as a being able to withstand the high strength stresses of aggressive usage...they were origionally commisioned by one of the brake parts manufacturers to more easily show off their product without distraction...

Throw in a clear helmet and some clear leathers and now you're talking!

Seriously, this strikes me as a "show only" thing. No plexiglass is going to be strong enough for real world usage.

Admit it IZ, you're only interested because it's impossible to take a IZ_ picture of "clear"  Grin

A Lexan disc 16" in diameter and 1" thick weighs about 8.6 lbs.
Then add in the hub, rim 'halves', and bolts.

My complete rear wheel weights 9.5 lbs.

If I'm going to suffer that kind of weight penalty, I'll do spokes.  chug
