Now that I'm all settled into the new place and actually have a backyard to speak of, it's time to dust off the ole homebrew kit and brew up a batch of the good stuff.  We are thinking of doing a chocolate stout this time.  For those of you not familar with the process you basically cook the stuff (wart) for a few hours then chill it, add yeast and let it sit for about two weeks.  Then transfer to bottles and let sit another week.  For anyone interested in seeing how it's done, or anyone who has good experience in this, and wants to watch/participate let me know.  I'm thinking of cooking the batch around the end of the month, no solid dates yet, just gauging interest.  Just so I can manage expectations the cooking process is basically standing around outside for about three hours... but it smells really good.   drink

Also, for those of you who don't know, I'm in Addison very close to the tollway and 635 so general access isn't too bad and I'll be sure to do it on a weekend.

My setup is no where near that technical... it's just a 7 gal plastic bucket   Tongue

but I'm sure are long as you show up that will take care of the gay rambo part.  Of course it will be a stout this time, not an ale.   Grin

U sure u wanna get me going? There's only two people that can handle it so far; the man who single handidly employs single moms everywhere and the mexican drama queen. U gotta go big in this ring and jugding by the it's just a 7 gal statement u aren't that type. Regardless of how big u think the twig and giggleberries may be u better get a second opinion. If u still feel like stepping in the ring then have ur woman take u to the store for some big boy pants. U can ride on the back so you two will get there quicker!
Remember u dont step in the ring with ali because u think u can box!

I figured that would get your ire up.  I'm just busting your balls.  Come over, help me make some beer and relax.  What am I going to do, you ride a 695"ER" after all.

Step in the ring... that's funny.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to the best place to buy all the ingredients?  I was going to go over to Homebrew Headquarters in Richardson.
