if you have an M1100, you really need not change your pumps unless you are going to something much higher end (billet masters, such as Brembo Racing, Discacciati, ISR, Accossato, etc) - the M1100 has the same radial calipers as the SBKs, and there are numerous options for aftermarket levers because its an OEM part (unlike the high end masters)

on the 696, finding a take off m1100 / hyper / sbk radial master would be a great upgrade and reasonably priced.

I got them for 250 Euros each brand new from a local KTM dealer without brake pads. Took the OEM pads from the 1198. Awesome braking power and nice feel.

And yes I've changed the master cylinders as well.

KTM Part No.'s:

LH, no pads: 6901301500130  MSRP: $388.99 USD
RH, no pads: 6901301600130  MSRP: $388.99 USD

fwiw, i'm not really a fan of the oem pads on the 1098/1198. Try out some relatively inexpensive EBC HH pads and I think you'll find they've got more oomph and they are less grabby. MSRP $37.99 USD / caliper

if you bought it all new at MSRP and bolted it up, you'd be looking at $853.96 USD + tax, and a jug of brake fluid for a bleed.
