derby from general Forum:

620 Monster dark '02

I parked my bike near my office this morning.. Didn't park in my usual spot where they have installed new meters  bang head so I wasn't able to watch my bike.. Anyway long story short.. When I started my bike in the evening it was in high idling on neutral about 5000RPM. and doesn't go down even on other gears ( had a tough time getting home) and my seat was getting hot too!!

Could this be because somebody tampered with my bike?? Undecided or is it something else that I should be worried about.. In anycase how do I fix it?? Thanks in advance

Somebody here recommended severe intake leak or fast idling??  Huh? how exactly would I look for it and fix it??

Sorry new rider and don't know exactly how to take care of my bike yet!  Roll Eyes

sounds like your hi idle cable is pulled out of its housing on one of the ends and is holding the rpms up.
check both ends of both cables to make sure there is slack at both. Is the throttle returning all the way?
