 Brian during happier times Smiley

Little did we know the sleeping fault on his bike and what was lurking around a few more bends.
I am sure someone has the gruesome photos.
Spoke to him this morning still very sore and sorry but at least comforted by
the knowledge it wasn't his fault due to a major mechanical failure on his bike bang head .
Get well soon mate  Kiss  waytogo

Yeah get well soon mate. Hope that ankle and shoulder are both feeling better quick smart.

Hope you take it right to MV as well.. with almost 29 pages of posts about the problem, I can't believe they haven't issued a recall for an OBVIOUSLY known issue.

Can't believe just how lucky you are that the issue showed up THERE and not along any of the other sections of FAR quicker cornering. Buy a lottery ticket mate.

To save the man himself from explaining too much.. It was low speed low side. Bike was being nursed around a gravel filled corner when it dropped.. At the time we all thought that it was caused by the gravel, but it looks like it was the hub issue as documented above.
Bike dropped on the right hand side on to bitumen... Brian got pinned under and was scraped along the road a bit before stopping just shy of the armco (slowed down by very damp mud, etc).

Brian's ankle and shoulder took the majority of the force but after a break and some lifesaving Panadol and Butter Menthols, he managed to continue on and finish off the ride (though obviously in pain and carrying a bruised ego).
Mainly fairing damage to the bike... didn't appear to be anything bent or broken.

The troublesome corner.

The slowing mud.

A little dirt.. it's still good...

Only if you're in the mood for a bit of joviality...
Interestingly... Google Street View takes the same line as you do Brian  Cheesy

What time was that Rob?
I didn't see it, I was up and down the Old Road day due to a visit to the Central Coast.
Didn't see anyone  Police there, did see a green fully marked car sitting just as the Old Road joins back to freeway off ramp at Berowra.

Shame I couldn't catch up with you all while you were out.
Did have a great run with a bloke in his old dac dac up the hill from Brooklyn Bridge to the PITS.
Such a fun run, though we would have both been handing in our licences if the  Police were around. I got a little carried away on my pat-malone.
