Has any one tried this? My parts guy said that it may not work too good due to the fact that the tamer is aluminum. So I'm looking for a little testimonial. I would think that it would hold heat, but there would still be some benefit.

I guess it would depend on the heated grip set-up you are thinking of using...

You could always put some thin, heat-reflective mylar tape over the tube to act as an insulator. Heat shrink works well, too, I hear.

Sorry for not enough info. I am thinking of using the daul-star style with my pro-grips. I think I wil try to find some shrink wrap or heat reflective tape. Any idea where one would find such items? All I've seen at the hardware store is for "little" electrical type stuff.
