Ohlins "Lite"

I've seen the new Ohlins lite shock advertised and is only supposed to be around $600 or so. Has anyone tried it or know much about it? I have a stock Sachs unit with an upgraded Ohlins spring. I'm wondering if it would be worth the money. Also, where do you buy it? I can't find a dealer that has one.

Preload and rebound adjustment only. Preload adjustment is traditional knuckle-skinning spanner collar(and plastic at that). I emailed Ohlins about this.
It's probably a lot better than the stock Suchs, but for a couple hundred more one can get a Penske double-clicker fully adjustable with a Torrington bearing spring adjustment collar(no more busted knuckles). Plus the spring on the Penske isn't screaming yellow.

So....false alarm.

I second this. Go for the penske double clicker. Better value. Many feel penske is a better shock than online anyway.

(I should note that my M900 has the Penske 8983. I would love more to have the 8987 or pro-racer model 8970, which is same as 8987 but with smaller increment adjustments.)

(The fixxer upper M900 just got an Ohlins rear shock - so I'll have a bike with each)

I had a penskie on my R6 racebike and it was magic and more adjustable than my ohlins due to the placement of the hose on the remote res.  with an ohlins you need a tech to set it up because sometimes that hose needs to come off to adjust the preload if its not within spec out of the box or by changing springs.  the penskie was more user friendly for this reason imo.  however i think they both are great shocks. ohlins is going to traxxion dynamics as soon as it can to get a rebuild
