An interesting Italian alternative to DR and KL 650s at a very reasonable price.

Edit:  so this is the same as a BMW F650.

i remember riding one. pretty anemic but still useable power. very comfortable but high seat.
for around town and dirt roads would be great bike.

I have the BMW version and posted some pics on the Dual Sport thread.  The BMW version has some congenital problems with emulsion tubes and steering head bearings.  Not really a big deal.  Not as much bottom end as you'd expect from a thumper.  Nice for mild dual sport riding with about 6.5 in of suspension travel.  The Rotax engine is smooth for a single.  It is heavy for a 650 single.  I like the look of the Aprilia version.  Has the 5 valve engine.

I understand.  Loving the practical ugliness of a dual sport is an acquired taste.  But if you ride them their versatility
becomes addictive and at some point they even start to look good.

I could see that. Though for that, I'd have to be doing a Long Way Round voyage - then I'd have one in a heart beat!
