Interchangeability with Ducati rear links?
«

Hello, I have a 2003 Monster 620 with the non-adjustable rear link. What other bikes could I source a rear link from that would be longer and help me raise my suspension? I am sure there is another way than to pay for a brand new link.
Ebay has several rear links from several different Ducati models...anyone know what my best bet is?
Better yet...is there a website with the length of these rods available by model?
Any help would be appreciated in terms of interchangeability/compatibility.
Thanks!!

You might end up having to buy a new one, or spend as much, anyhow: Those heim joints are sometimes frozen in the OEM rods. A real PITA.

Any 2001 Monster S4, any 2002 and later Monster that's not a 696, 796, or 1100.
Not all of the above have an adjustable link....

keep eyeballs open for the higher spec Monsters being parted out on eBay, and places like GothamCycles, CrankyApe, RubberSideUp, etc.
Not sure if the 748-996 adjuster is the same, but it could be. I think its the same as on the S4R, but I'd need to be looking at an ARCO terminal to be sure, then again the difference may just be that its longer, and if only slightly - it could be what you are looking for. And those are easily found in billet alu. And I got a spare OEM one in my toolbox that I'd be happy to get rid of, if it will work for you

I have heard that the 748 adjuster will fit. Can you tell me the maximum length is of your spare?

I can measure it from end to end - max length would be determined from the threaded length of both heim joints (they are the male ends on my setup).
FYI: If the OEM one I got is not center mount adj, but the 748-998 style will work, there are fancy billet ones for not so much money available at Motowheels, Mad-Duc, AMS, etc.

My stock fixed one is right at 12" end-to-end. I'm wanting 13-14"
