I am hoping to hit the road on sat morning, weather permitting. Anyone have a spare couple of hours, thinking a quick run up Putty Rd would be nice.  [moto]

nah. It's all good.

What I found when I organised more rides that everyone needs a reasonable amount of notice. What usually ends up happening is that after a few larger rides, people with common goals / ability and the like tend to do spontaneous rides which are organised via txt.

The large group rides are awesome, but are more social than hard riding - it just tends to get  hard when to go hard all day when there are more than 4 or so riders, and even harder when the riders are at differing levels of ability / confidence.

+1 goldFish I often head out on my own for hard ride, normally for a short run. On the long group runs I tend to go harder around lunch and cruise home when we are more  likely to be a bit fatigued and make mistakes. waytogo

It has to be the bike, it aint my riding, but i try ride as often as i can so i can improve my riding. its not such a big ride for me I only live about 25 mins from the start of putty rd so it will be quick blast there, quick coffee, quick blast home. i will be back on domestics by 10  Grin. Wife approves, i am happy, bikes cleared of cobwebs, happy dayz.

Very true all of that regarding group size etc....

Small group short ride = faster/quicker/home early
Big group = fast morning/lots a chatting/cruise home

Both are good and it's always good to mix it up.

Sorry this time Tricolore, gotta head up the F3 for a 3rd Birthday.
Have a good ride stay safe and watch out for the  Police

cheers
Matty...
