"any asshole can buy a motorcycle and never have to touch the thing it but if you have a moped you have to learn it"

what?? one carb, one plug and a centrifugal clutch....tough

hes absolutely right though.  for under 3,000$ I could get an SV650, ride the piss out of it daily and I wouldnt even need to know how many cc's it is. most mopeds break down constantly, you NEED to fix it yourself if you plan on riding it with any regularity.

what are the cops driving that makes them unable to catch them?  Razor scooters?

awful hard to catch a moped on a goat trail in a cruiser...

Yea but he's implying that everyone who rides a moped is a mechanical genius. I've been to Richmond, dont remember many goat trails.

Lets not get away from the fact that it's a weedwhacker bolted to a bicycle.

I moved from a bicycle - to - moped for short time - to - motorycle

That short experience I had on a moped ( ok, probably for like a few hours was on a moped and it was so much fun )

meh, not what I got from it but whatever.  regardless of how simple a machine is there is a lot of pleasure to be gained from knowing how every nut and bolt needs to go.

goat trails may have been incorrect but there are plenty of places a moped can get that a police car cant and a motorcycle cop wont.

these guys are not bad and frequent my business a lot!  The red haired gentleman is a friend and is building a sweet concrete bowl in his back yard. For a minute in richmond it seemed like the moped was the new track bike,  a lot of fun for some, or a fashion accessory for college kids. i have seen some sick mopeds around Richmond.
