that may be true but from everything I hear, the acceleration is whats really insane. 2nd fastest accelerating production vehicle ever made, .14 seconds slower than a Veyron 0-60.

I don't know where you got that info. ...but it's screwy !

Ducati 1098 does 0-60  mph, 2.5 seconds claims Ducati

Porsche 911 Turbo S  0-62 mph, 2.9 seconds Car and Driver

Relax, dude, no one's gonna take away your Monster. I'm excited about Geoff's news that the bike is doing what it was intended to do: draw new buyers to the brand. The more cash Ducati pulls in, the more they can spend developing what matters to me: superbikes! 

Thanks swampduc thats exactly what I was trying to point out, at this moment in time I've no interest in buying a Diavel as I love my ducati's but one day in the future my opinion may change so I'll always leave that door open just in case... [moto]

I have no problem with the Harley guys because as they say "we're all different" (thank god) but at the end of the day we're all bikers and should stick together because theres a lot of folks out there that would love to see us off the road so just remember theres strength in numbers...
