I don't have a way of quantifying how much of a difference the coating made other than that my ankle (though proper riding boots) got uncomfortably hot stock and I don't notice it even getting warm with the ceramic. Water will still boil on the header though. There is an obvious difference in heat when putting my hand near the surface of the stock header vs the coated header as well.
I think I'll skip sticking my boot on it though

Took a little trip to Home Despot and found lots of goodies to mount up the stock heat shields I had from the PO:
rod coupling nuts with metric machine screws to match and a couple hose clamps. It ain't pretty, but it works until I can find a better option. I'll get a pic up later.
Anybody ever seen a hose clamp with built in standoff that accepts an M5 screw? (the stock screw for the heat shield is and M5 and looks better than the machine screws I'm using now). I dug around on mcmaster and grainger but didn't see anything.

Got to change my pants now. Just pissed 'em laughing so hard!
I thought you bought this system for your ride
I did but I really miss the rear open wheel and the simplicity of the mid-pipe design. Went back to stock this weekend. maybe a Ex-Box is in my future, maybe not.

This attaches easily and fits stock shields (maybe MotoWheels and MonsterParts shields too)

Ducatician, I used the stock shields with stainless steel t-bar hose clamps and 1/4-20 pan head with hex drive (they look like the stock bolts) and locking nuts from the local Marine store. For the stand offs i cut on of the clamps into Pisces and bent them into a u shape and drilled a clearance hole for the bolt and slid the other side between the pipe and clamp. It works and I think it looks good.

Sounds like I've got a little fabrication project coming up. Do you have the U part of the u-strap between the other clamp and the pipe (i.e. do you have a hole in each end of the U)? Seems a little less likely to vibrate loose. On second thought, that wouldn't work very well...how would you get the bolt in there in the first place? Doh, I should not be allowed to post this early in the morning!
Nice looking bike!

Ducatician, I'll try to explane it a bit clearer;
1) Cut one large t-bar clamp into four 1 1/2" long strips (I used the t-bar clamp because the ban solid and a good thickness for the stand offs).
2) Drill one 5/16" hole on one end 1/4" from the end.
3) Bend the strips into a U 1/2"x1/2"x1/2".
4) Place one of the legs in between the exhaust pipe and the clamp (I put the top stand offs with the bottom of the U on top to hide the nut from the top view).
5) Place one of the bolt with a plastic washer (it will not melt) in through the shield .
6) This part was bit tricky, but I got it to work, put the locking nut in the box end of the wrench (tip place some tape on the back end of the box to keep the nut in place). Put the wrench in the center of the U. Now screw the the bolt through the stand off into the nut with an Alan wrench.
7) Repeat steps 4 to 6 for the rest.
I hope this helps, oh and thanks for complament on the bike.

I just want to know where i can get the clamp with something to thread screws into. I have to make some kind of clamp to keep my bodywork off of the exhaust and hold it at the same time

I'm looking into finding something similar for building a fork tube camera mount. If I track anything down that would handle exhaust temps I'll post it up here.
