I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

LOL
roland sands makes great bikes, however he chose the wrong bike for the wrong make the beast with two backsing project. indeed he make the beast with two backsed up that bike. he needs to be shot in the leg to be taught a lesson. not the hands cause he needs them to fix his mistake!
22 cal. knee cap! Every time the weather changed he'd remember it.

as the question is "how do I
WANT
" rather than "how
should
" I answer track rat. were the question "how should" my answer would be "doesn't matter, not mine".
ideally? id like to see Desmo's used as bases for NCR M16's flying through race slicks like they're going out of style. But then again there are very few riders that could use a bike like that to anywhere near its potential.

You'd think an ambulance chaser could spell "donor" by now.
no no no... it's missing an 'n'... a 'donner' bike (to be cannibalized) for a project.

Would that make it a "Dahmer" bike?

Didn't know you were on a respirator. So sorry.
I voted boobies in the hopes it would off you and you'd leave me your compressor.

I was at Bike Week in Daytona Beach last week. I saw two other Monsters, and then on the last day there Saturday 12 March, I saw a 999R and a 1098S. Later in the evening, on Main Street, trying to avoid the drunk lamp-posts, I hear the tell tale rattle of a dry clutch. I glance to my left and see buddy, on a make the beast with 2 backsing, Desmosedici. I almost pissed my pants. WTF? I guess he made a wtong turn to the Speedway and ended up on Main Street.

donate it to the UTI Motorcycle Technology Training Program?
I really don't care if it is a donor bike for a build, but do it right man! A flat tracker doesn't look like that.

Do what you want with your own junk, IMHO.
I can see disagreeing with the engine for flat track use, or the design of the bike, any number of things down to the paint being the wrong color... but disliking the project because of where the parts came from is rediculous.

Figures. Boobies FTW.
I think I'd be terrified to ride that anywhere else but at the track. I think there was a post a year or two ago about some dealer letting a noob rider flog his D16 at the track and wrecked it hard. I was pissed off at the time, but the more I thought about it, the more I was ok with it. It's a WORLD CLASS RACE BIKE. Track it.
There's a guy around town here who rides one pretty much like any other bike. He's also had a new exhaust system on it to "tame it" a little.
