I bid on it on ebay and i got a second chance offer to buy it for 127 + 15 shipping. I have 23 hours to decide. What do you guys think? good deal? looks like it's in good condition and i think i should be able to work it myself and reset my tps....any thoughts?

Looks like mine though. It has the main hardware dongle, a serial extension, and a USB-to-serial adapter. Comes with the driver disk and clamshell case. Pretty complete.

Do you like it? easy to use? worth the money? these seem to be more "consumer grade" vs the pro stuff that speeddog most likely has....at least I think

AFAIK, the only difference between the Pro and Consumer is that the Pro will do 'all' bikes, 'Consumer' just one bike.

It's pretty easy to use, procedure for getting it to link up varies a bit by bike....

I bit the bullet and bought it. Should be here in a week or so....i'll hook it up and give it a whirl. I may be pickin your brain on the tps reset though...the bike's been running super rich and the last time i took it to my dealer they charged me 300 bucks and told me it was fixed, it stayed with a good mix for about a month and then went right back to runnin rich.

actually, this is the first time it's ever happened to me, every thing else has either run more smoothly/efficiently, or at least just as well  waytogo

My best experience with the software was to use a cheap netbook. I use the same netbook for tuning the microtec as well. If you are planning on making changes, you will want to get a Gunsen Gastester as well to monitor the CO levels and get a proper idea of where your tuning changes go.

If you do get a netbook, it usually comes with Win7 Starter Edition, and then you pay for the online upgrade to Home Edition. Otherwise you run into install problems etc using the Starter Edition.

I've emailed the folks at TechnoResearch to see if they intend to also offer the application for the Android. That would be sweet. I have the Windows Mobile/PC VDST and my old handheld has seen better days, but offers the easiest use of the VDST. Maybe future non-iPads will support WinMobile in the future.
