Yes, I know I need to take it to a dyno.. I will eventually do that.  But I need it to work now.

However, if you have a similarly-kitted S2R, won't you share your map with me?

I have a cut airbox, K&N filter and Sparks full exhaust (headers and twin cans).  I just cut the airbox, removed about 75-80% of the top leaving the sides for the clips and put in a KN filter.

thanks

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Hope you don't mind me asking here instead of starting a new thread. I have an 06 s2r800 and am wondering if you have a modded air box and full exhaust, do you have to change the tuning or can you run those mods with the factory tune?

if you don't mod the airbox, you can run with the factory tuning.  once you open up the airbox, time to start tweaking the EFI.

My airbox cover is cut with about 80% of the top removed, so it looks like the FBF airbox setup.  I left the sides so there is some rain/splash guarding in place but flow is pretty much open.

my exhaust is the full Sparks setup -- straight header, no udder.  it's sort of a 2:2 system, but it is joined at the bend.  very open setup.  i also re-stuffed the cans with a light amount of stainless gauze, so even less restriction.

Thanks, I will make sure not to touch the air box untill I can shell out the cash for a power commander. Good luck getting a map, everyone seems cool here and would be happy to share.

I have a custom map for my:

05 s2r803
Spark Exhaust
Spark mid-pipe
FBF open air box kit
Nichols fly wheel

This map has been tuned twice.  2nd tuning was to fine tune the map for the flywheel, 6K service...and to remove the flat spot @ 5.5K.

Let me know.

i'm interested, the only difference in our bikes is the flywheel, and i wonder how much that makes a difference.
